I get my best ideas in the middle of the night. I go to sleep, have a dream and wake up with an “aha” moment of clarity. I usually know exactly what I need to do for a space in my home, an event I’m planning, or some other thing that has me stumped. When that happens, I’m dangerous. I swear – it’s a sickness!
I generally wake up and take to the internet. Online shopping is my most useful tool – it allows me to easily compare prices, check sales, find cool and unique things and never have to leave my bunny slippers. My first search for what I'm looking for is ALWAYS Amazon.com - become a prime member - you won't regret it! After that, I'm a sucker for the sites below...
Imagine Marshalls/Homegoods on the internet. Joss and Main has new items and sales every day – all different price points, but always cute and stylish items. I have found SO many awesome things on this website and I’ve loved them all. Beware of 2 things: 1. It’s addicting to check it every day and every day find a new thing you love. Danger to your checkbook! 2. There are no returns on J&M – when you buy it, you keep it. So shop carefully!
I know that most of the free world is already aware of the awesomeness that is Overstock.com. Great deals, awesome prices and $1 shipping on everything! (How do they ship furniture for free?!). I’ve purchased everything off of this website – shoes, coats, armoires, beds, rugs, lamps, you name it and I’ve bought it. Overstock does offer returns, however the shipping isn’t free on the return trip! Be careful of that if you’re buying a big item.
Not just your average lighting stores, these two offer not only amazing light fixtures at great prices, but they offer RUGS! I love Shades of Light for their beautiful, affordable rugs, and Lamps Plus is one of my favorites for great lighting.
Similar to a Joss and Main type website, OKL has some very fun home decor items. They are more expensive than J&M, but if you keep your eyes peeled you’ll find some very sweet things there.
If you ever need anything remotely relating to crafting, this is your place. Save On Crafts has everything at an amazing price and I’ve never been disappointed!
Lastly, Layla Grayce is one of my favorites for a show PIECE. It's high end, expensive, but you can find one of a kind beautiful things there - realistically you can only afford one. :) But it's a fun place to browse for inspiration.
Happy Shopping!
